Join us for Divine Service with Holy Communion, every Sunday at 11:00 am.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion
Central to the service of worship each Sunday is the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
If you have not previously communed at Our Saviour and are a member of a Lutheran Church-Canada congregation or a congregation which is in fellowship with the LC-C, we welcome you to commune with us. Please announce your intention to commune to the Pastor before the service.
It is a consequence of the sad divisions in Christianity that we cannot extend to those Christians who are not fully united with us a general invitation to receive Communion. We believe that the celebration of Holy Communion signifies a oneness in faith, life, and worship for those who commune together. Reception of Holy Communion by Christians not fully united with us would imply a oneness which does not yet exist, and for which we must all pray.

“… Rather than being dull, stodgy or stuck in the past, the worship at Our Saviour is substantive and serious. It is substantive in that it is filled from beginning to end with the real meat and potatoes of Christianity. There is no fluff or filler. Everything is directed toward Christ, the forgiveness of our sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. “
